Brilliant Cancelation Policy

When considering luxury van or minibus transportation services in NYC or Los Angeles, it is important to realize that extensive planning and preparation is required in order to provide our clients the level of service we are known for.

Our service is more akin to a “charter service” rather than transfer or taxi service (i.e. from the airport to hotel). Likewise, speciality luxury Mercedes Sprinter Vans and Minibuses are not a dime-a- dozen like standard black sedans.  

As such, when you make a reservation,  we physically assign a specific vehicle and driver to your trip. Therefore, to ensure your satisfaction and availability, we abide by a carefully articulated cancellation policy to be mindful and respectful of all of our clients’ needs.  

Brilliant's Cancellation Policy

The cancellation pertaining to your specific reservation will be located on the bottom of the email confirmation we send to you, known as the ‘standard confirmation’ or the ‘customer trip sheet’ which additionally includes your driver’s name, cell phone contact, vehicle number and license plate number.

Many times we have had clients cancel reservations at the last minute not realizing that, with a late cancellation, they would be obligated to pay either a partial amount or, in some cases, the full amount of the reservation.

Obviously when a client reserves a vehicle, they are precluding other clients from using that vehicle. So, with a late cancellation they must still pay for the reservation as this is tying up our business.

Of course we understand that some cancellation are unavoidable and that it is an inconvenience to both parties.

We try to minimize any inconvenience to our clients, but we must stand firm on this policy as otherwise it could put our business at risk. It is easy for some to make a reservation then change their minds at the last minute without regard to the effects it causes other clients due to vehicle availability.

4 Cancellation Policies:

We have 4 variations to our cancellation policy based upon the type of vehicle you are reserving ( the rental cost is also different depending upon vehicle type).

Brilliant Van and Executive Van: 

Any cancellation made 48 hours or less is subject to a 50% cancellation charge or 3 hour minimum, whichever is greater. Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to departure are subject to payment in full.

Please note that trips reserved in the Brilliant Van or Executive Van in a less than 24 hour period, there is no grace period. Be sure and double-affirm of your plans before you book last minute!  

14 Passenger Sprinter:

Any cancellation made 24 hours or less is subject to a 50% cancellation charge or 2 hour minimum, whichever is greater.

Cadillac Escalade/SUV Service:

Any cancellation made 2 hours in advance of our scheduled garage out time is acceptable. Cancellations made with less notice are subject to a two hour minimum or 50% of the total trip charges, whichever is greater.

Minibus Service:

Any cancellation made 72 hours or less is subject to a 50% cancellation charge or 4 hour minimum, whichever is greater. Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to departure are subject to payment in full.
