Looking for a way to bid another summer farewell? How about some artful aerial views of sands across the globe? Photographer Gray Malin was hooked after a top-floor Las Vegas hotel room offered his first look at the accidental patterns created by population and, of course, beachy accessories like towels, umbrellas and boards. Immediately, a project was born.
The snaps collected in A La Plage, A La Piscine offer images from all over the world, from that first Vegas hotel window to Miami, then to Rio de Janeiro, to Kauai... Eventually, countless other North American and international destinations the artist found via Google search were documented for our viewing pleasure. And, most times, from the clean perspective granted by a private helicopter rental - good stuff!
Have a look.
